Red Jumpsuit Apparatus goes acoustic

Warped Tour breakout band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is heading back on the road for its first acoustic tour, dubbed "Unplugged and Unaffected."

The series of intimate shows will run from through May. The band is also slated to appear at the May 3 Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ, as well as Walt Disney World's "Grad Night," a celebration for high school seniors, April 18-19 and 25-26. Details are listed below.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus has been in the studio recording the follow-up to its platinum debut, "Don't You Fake It," which spawned the singles "Face Down" and "Your Guardian Angel." The fourth single from the band, "Damn Regret," is being pushed independently by the band via radio and video.

According to a press release, charitable interests still remain a core factor for the band. It has been actively raising funds and awareness for a variety of causes including teen-suicide prevention, mental-health parity, and domestic violence by way of a fundraising commitment to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus--which includes vocalist/acoustic guitarist Ronnie Winter, guitarist/pianist/vocalist Duke Kitchens, guitarist Elias Reidy, bassist/vocalist Joey Westwood and drummer/vocalist Jon Wilkes--also addressed hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients and formed The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation.

"In high school there would be teachers and inspirational speakers saying that we could change the world if we just tried," Winter said in a press release. "This is our avenue to at least attempt to make this world a better place--through this foundation we hope to continue together to show in actions not words that we care."
