Peter Murphy goes solo again, ramps up headlining tour
The singer/songwriter, who toured last year with a band featuring members of Skinny Puppy and The Mission UK, will kick off the upcoming run May 30 in Seattle. The outing will run through mid-June and is scheduled to hit more than 30 cities along the way. Dates are below.
Murphy's most recent solo album, "Unshattered," was released in 2004. The set, which is the singer's seventh solo collection, follows 2002's "Dust," a collaboration with Turkish artist Mercan Dede.
Murphy and Bauhus released "Go Away White," the band's fifth official studio album and first since 1983's "Burning from the Inside," in early March. The group announced at the time that the disc would be its final record, and that no tour would follow. "Go Away White" was also the first new material from the iconic goth act since its 2005 reunion gig at Coachella and subsequent full tour.
Bauhaus initially broke up in 1983, leading to Murphy's solo career, while the band's other members continued on as, initially, Tones on Tail and, later, as Love and Rockets.
