My Bloody Valentine reunites for ATP New York

UK alt-rockers My Bloody Valentine are set to play their first US show in 16 years during this summer's ATP New York music festival.

The first 15 acts have been announced for the three-day event, which is scheduled to take place Sept. 19-21 at Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, NY. On the bill are Built to Spill , Meat Puppets , Thurston Moore, Tortoise , Shellac , Mogwai , Polvo, F--- Buttons, Autolux, The Drones, Low, Wooden Shjips, Edan with guest Dagha, and Thee Silver Mount Zion Orchestra. More acts will be announced shortly, according to a press release.

The boutique festival, curated by UK promoter All Tomorrow's Parties news, tour dates, photos and tickets"> All Tomorrow's Parties and My Bloody Valentine, will host fewer than 3,000 people and offer up amenities including dining, bars, an indoor swimming pool, tennis and golf. About 30 bands are expected to play throughout the weekend, starting in the mid-afternoons, with DJ sets running into the late-night hours, according to organizers.

Three-day passes costing $225 plus fees go on sale beginning Friday (4/25), and tickets including accommodations will also be available. Further information can be found at the ATP Festival website.

My Bloody Valentine fell off the radar following its critically acclaimed 1991 album, "Loveless." Late last year, frontman Kevin Shields confirmed the band was back together and planning to release new music, according to Billboard.
