Goo Goo Dolls To Follow Stones Dates With Spring Tour
The Goo Goo Dolls will headline a springtime tour focusing on college campuses and larger clubs, taking MCA act the New Radicals along for the ride. According to MTV Online, the tour kicks off March 30th in Syracuse, the day after the Goo Goo Dolls finish up the last of six dates opening for the Rolling Stones.
The tour will tie in to a campaign to raise food donations for the U.S.A. Harvest national food bank network, a non-profit organization that provides food items to shelters and missions.
The Goo Goo Dolls currently have two tracks on the top 40 singles chart, Iris and Slide, both still receiving plenty of airplay after nearly a half year of release. The band's Dizzy Up The Girl holds the #27 slot this week on the BIllboard pop album chart.
The New Radicals are enjoying some rock and pop radio crossover success with their track, You Get What You Give.
Prior to joining the Stones, the Dolls launch a two-week tour of Japan and Australia before returning home to perform at the Grammy Awards show on February 24th. Their work with the Stones begins March 20th in Charlotte, NC.
