Kid Rock adds shows in Canada, Detroit

Currently in the midst of a spring US outing, Detroit rap-rocker Kid Rock is setting his sights on a summer tour of Canada, as well as a two-night stand on his home turf.

Rock, whose in-progress tour leg wraps up in late May, has booked a seven-date Canadian stretch in early July, and has capped that itinerary with a two-night stand at the Detroit-area's DTE Energy Music Theatre. Details for all of the currently confirmed US and Canadian dates are included below.

Sandwiched between the current tour leg and the Canadian roadtrip is a June run through Europe. More information about those shows is available at Rock's website.

Rock has been on the road since January, heading up his "Rock and Roll Revival Tour," a revue-style outing that has featured Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band playing a medley of hits with guests including Run D.M.C.'s Reverend Run, former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts and J. Giles Band frontman Peter Wolf.

The roadwork backs Rock's October release, "Rock N Roll Jesus," which topped The Billboard 200 and has spawned mainstream- and modern-rock hits "So Hott," "Amen" and "All Summer Long." The latter track is a mash-up of Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama."
