Los Lonely Boys support forthcoming album

May 9, 2008 07:05 AM
"Texican" rockers Los Lonely Boys have a new album on deck and they'll support it with US dates throughout the summer.

The next gig on the sibling trio's agenda is May 25 in New Braunfels, TX, and from there, they'll head to California to open shows for Sheryl Crow June 12-13. Los Lonely Boys will play a mix of headlining dates and festivals through mid-July, when they'll hop on the Brotherhood Tour with Los Lobos. Details are listed below.

The Garza brothers--Henry (guitar), JoJo (bass) and Ringo (drums)--are gearing up for the July 1 release of their third album, "Forgiven." The lead single from the set, "Staying With Me," is streaming at Los Lonely Boys' MySpace page.

The new record follows 2006's "Sacred," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, and the band's double-platinum-selling, Grammy-winning 2003 self-titled debut, which spawned the No. 1 adult-contemporary hit "Heaven."

Last year saw the release of "Los Lonely Boys Cottonfields and Crossroads," an intimate documentary started by veteran PBS filmmaker Hector Galan just as the band was verging on international success. The DVD chronicles the Garza brothers' difficult journey to fame, from backing their dad's band in Texas bars to hearing themselves on the car radio for the first time.
