Willie Nelson To Keep Up Busy Tour Schedule
Though he hasn’t released a new studio album since 1998’s “Teatro,” Willie Nelson continues to tend to his audience in person. The latest itinerary from the country music icon shows him on the fair, casino and theater circuits through early November.
Nelson is also scheduled open for the Dixie Chicks when their tour visits State College, Pa., Columbus, Ohio, Cleveland (at Gund Arena), St. Louis, Memphis and New Orleans.
Nelson remains the president of Farm Aid, a non-profit organization that claims it has granted more than $15 million to family farm groups, churches, and rural organizations since 1985. This year’s Farm Aid benefit show--which will also feature Farm Aid co-founders Neil Young , John Mellencamp and other guests to be announced--is scheduled to take place on Sept. 17 at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Va.
"Teatro" (Island), peaked at No. 17 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart in September 1998.
