Janet Jackson [ tickets ] has added another dozen cities to her upcoming "Rock Witchu Tour," which marks the superstar's first outing in seven years.

The North American trek is still set to launch Sept. 10 in Vancouver. Since last check, shows have been added in major markets including Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Dallas. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks, according to tour promoters. An updated itinerary is listed below.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday (6/7), and pre-sales have already started for fan club members and Citi cardmembers.

The announcement of the new dates coincides with Jackson's appearance this evening (6/3) on BET's "106 & Park," where she'll discuss what fans can expect from the tour and reflect on previous outings. Additional television appearances this week include "Entertainment Tonight" and MTV's "TRL."

On the road, Jackson will perform material from her new album, "Discipline," as well as the many hit singles that have helped her sell more than 100 million records during her career, according to a press release.

"Discipline," Jackson's 10th studio set, debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 in March, making it her sixth album to do so. The video for the lead single, "Feedback," is streaming at her website.
