Alt-rock outfit Wild Sweet Orange [ tickets ] is riding the buzz surrounding its just-released debut album with a new slate of concerts.

The quartet, which plans to tour through the rest of the year, currently has close to 30 shows scheduled across the US through mid-September. The itinerary includes a dozen dates with Austin indie-rockers What Made Milwaukee Famous and an Aug. 3 appearance at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Details are listed below.

Wild Sweet Orange's debut full-length record, "We Have Cause to be Uneasy," hit the streets yesterday (7/29). The set follows last winter's "Whale" EP, which earned the Birmingham, AL-based group critical acclaim and road trips with bands including Counting Crows, the Whigs and Augustana.

"We Have Cause to be Uneasy" was recorded over a span of two years, during which time Wild Sweet Orange honed its sound and vision on the road.

"It's like we've been in the belly of the whale for the past three or four years and now we've finally been spit out," singer/songwriter/guitarist Preston Lovinggood said in the band's bio. "We're taking all of our experiences and bringing them onstage every night. We've put all of ourselves into this record. We've given it our all and I think it's a great picture of our life."

One album track, "Land of No Return," was featured in a 2007 episode of ABC-TV's "Grey's Anatomy" and Wild Sweet Orange recently performed the lead single, "Ten Dead Dogs," on CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman." Those tunes and a couple others are streaming at the band's MySpace page.
