Yelle set to 'Pop-Up' on US shores this fall
Electropop singer/songwriter Yelle will follow up her spring trek across North America with a slate of headlining club dates this fall.
The French performer--whose real name is Julie Budet--and her two-person backing group (consisting of producer GrandMarnier on drums and remixer Tepr on keyboards and electronic programming) will kick off the run Oct. 7 in Dallas.
The 17-city outing features dates on both US coasts, and runs into early November. Details are below.
The singer is backing her debut album, "Pop-Up," which was produced by GrandMarnier and released last fall in the US. The album follows Yelle's 2006 single "Parle à ma main," which rose to No. 1 on the singles chart in her native France.
Yelle recently released a live EP, the digital-only "iTunes Live: London Festival 08." The EP contains five songs recorded during a performance in July at London's KOKO club.
