Guinness Fleadh Unveils 1999 Lineups, Ticket Info

Festival organizers for the 1999 Guinness Fleadh announced on Wednesday talent lineups for the four stops the festival will make in 1999 as well as ticket ticket sales times this weekend for each show. For the first year, the festival will play Boston, bringing the decidely Irish-themed event to one of the country's largest Irish populations.

This year's run of the festival marks its third US outing, though festival officials note that the original Fleadhs (a Gaelic word pronouced ''flah'' and translating to ''festival'') in England have been running for a full decade. The original US stop was New York. 1998's version brought the Fleadh to New York, Chicago and San Francisco and this year hits those same cities while adding Boston.

The lineup at each stop will changes somewhat, though Elvis Costello, Shane MacGowan, Luka Bloom and others will ride the full stretch. The shows will take place on four consecutive Saturdays in June.
