Tim McGraw unveils 'Swampstock 2008' plans
Tim McGraw will return to his home turf in Rayville, LA, next month to host his annual " Swampstock " benefit.
Now in its 15th year, the Sept. 13 event--proceeds from which benefit McGraw's and wife Faith Hill 's Neighbor's Keeper Foundation--will feature performances by McGraw, Hill, Catherine Raney, Halfway to Hazard, Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean.
In addition to live music, organizers will mark the occasion by teaming with Habitat for Humanity to refurbish the Rayville Recreation Center during a community build that will begin Sept. 9 and wrap on the day of the concert.
"We are anxious to return this year with an amazing line up of artists," McGraw said in a press release. "In addition to supporting Rayville Youth Baseball and the Steve Colvin Scholarships, it's a great to add Habitat for Humanity of Ouachita and keep the focus on helping the local community. I'm encouraging everyone to help us make this one of the most successful Swampstocks ever."
Tickets for Swampstock 2008 are priced at $30 and go on sale Friday (8/22) via Ticketmaster (LiveDaily's parent company); locals can purchase their tickets at Richland State Bank, Bankcorp South and J&H Boots.
