Rascal Flatts 'Bob' to new fall tour dates
Country trio Rascal Flatts has extended its current "Bob That Head" tour, with the group rallying road support behind the fourth single from last year's "Still Feels Good" LP.
The band will take a brief pause in their non-stop roadwork before continuing the trek tomorrow (8/22) in Hartford, CT. The new shows--spread out over 20 US cities--extend the trek into November. Details are included below.
The band has been out all year supporting its platinum-selling release from last September, "Still Feels Good," which has spawned the hits "Take Me There" and "Winner at a Losing Game." The album's latest single, "Bob That Head," peaked at No. 16 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart after hitting radio stations in June.
The set, which follows 2006's "Me and My Gang," marks the group's third consecutive album to debut at No. 1.
Rascal Flatts has sold more than 17 million albums and scored nine No. 1 singles since forming in 1999, according to a press release. Earlier in the year, the trio took home its sixth consecutive Vocal Group of the Year award from the Academy of Country Music. During the May ceremony, the Academy of Country Music also honored the group with its Humanitarian Award.
According to published reports, the trio is scheduled to appear and perform in "Hannah Montana: The Movie," which is aiming for a 2009 release date. The film, which stars Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is filming in the group's home state of Tennessee.
