Earlimart, The Wedding Present team for fall tour

Indie-rockers Earlimart have lined up a fall co-headlining tour with indie vets The Wedding Present , with both bands hitting the road behind still-fresh studio releases.

The quick tour kicks off Sept. 18 in San Diego and wraps up a week later with a Sept. 26 show in Vancouver. The West Coast jaunt will hit seven cities in all; dates are included below.

"Hymn and Her," Earlimart's sixth studio album, hit stores in July, following quickly on the heels of the band's previous album, last year's "Mentor Tormentor."

"We recorded the new album really quickly ... we didn't wanna wait another 3 years to make another record. We just wanna keep makin' stuff," Espinoza said in a press release, adding that he and Murray set a four-week deadline to make the record.

British indie-rockers The Wedding Present are touring in support of their eighth studio album, the Steve Albini-produced "El Rey," which the band dropped in May.

The digital download-only single "The Thing I Like Best About Him is His Girlfriend" was made available a few weeks before the album's release; a slightly different version of the song appears on physical copies of the album.
