Sara Evans keeps tour rolling through fall

Country star Sara Evans, who hit the road in late June, has expanded her North American tour into the fall.

The outing continues Friday (Aug. 29) in Morton, MN, and crisscrosses the US through mid-Oct. Since last check, Evans has tacked on summer shows in Minneapolis and Davenport, IA, as well as a half dozen fall dates from the Midwest to the Southeast. An updated tour itinerary is included below.

Last October, Evans celebrated 10 years in the music business with the release of "Greatest Hits," which bowed at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart. In addition to several No. 1 and Top 5 singles, the set features four new songs, including radio hits "As If" and "Some Things Never Change," both of which are streaming at the performer's MySpace page.

Evans' most recent album of all-new material, 2005's platinum-selling "Real Fine Place," rocketed to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and spawned hit singles "Cheatin'," "You'll Always Be My Baby," "Coalmine" and the title track.

Her voice can also be heard on the new version of the classic Libby's jingle, which debuts next month. Evans is the first celebrity to record the tune, and she's partnering with Libby's Vegetables to designate September as "Get Back to the Table Month." The singer said she jumped at the chance to remake the jingle.

"It's really a tribute to one of the simple joys of life--time as a family," Evans said in a statement.
