Hatebreed
"Live Dominance"
(Koch)

On Sept. 2, hardcore metal pioneers Hatebreed celebrated the release of their first live DVD, an 80-minute performance shot entirely in high definition. The disc, shot at Harpo's in Detroit during the Supremacy tour, contains more than two hours of live footage, as well as band interviews, fan testimonials and concept videos. Popular tracks such as "This Is Now," "Hallow Ground," "Never Let It Die" and 19 others made the cut.

America
"SoundStage: America Live in Chicago"
(Koch Vision)

Fans of the 1970s folk-rock band America will appreciate this 77-minute DVD, available now. Filmed in high definition, the set includes 20 songs by the chart-topping group. "You Can Do Magic," "Till The Sun Comes Up Again," "Woman Tonight" and "California Dreamin'" are among the featured tracks. An interview with original members Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley is an added bonus, as is the special on-stage appearance by Christopher Cross on "Lonely People."

Jonny Lang
"Live at Montreux"
(Eagle)

Known for his Grammy-winning blues, Jonny Lang released his first live DVD Tuesday (9/9). Filmed at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival in 1999, when Lang was only 18 years old, this short, 54-minute disc features a nine-song set list culled from his first two albums, including "Still Rainin'," "A Quitter Never Wins" and "Lie to Me," among others. Fans of the bluesman will notice the influence of other genre greats, such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and T-Bone Walker.

Joe Cocker
"Cry Me A River"
(Eagle)

Though he still delivers new songs on a regular basis, English singer Joe Cocker gained popularity in the 1960s covering other of-the-moment bands like The Beatles. This latest live DVD, which hits store shelves Sept. 16, offers up some of Cocker's own songs ("You Are So Beautiful") alongside classic covers (Leon Russell's "Delta Lady," Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through The Grapevine.") The 58-minute live music montage was filmed Oct. 31, 1981 at Berlin's famed Metropol.

The Groundhogs
"The Groundhogs Live At the Astoria 1998"
(Eagle)

British blues band The Groundhogs continue their four decades of music with their latest live DVD, available Sept. 30. The two-disc set features a 78-minute audio CD alongside an 81-minute DVD of the same show, a 1998 performance at the Astoria in London. The video portion is the first show ever filmed of the elusive rockers. The track listing includes "I Want You To Love Me," "Still A Fool" and "Mistreated."
