Smashing Pumpkins, ZZ Top head Bridge School lineup
Neil Young has unveiled an eclectic musical lineup for the next edition of his annual Bridge School Benefit concert, led by Smashing Pumpkins , ZZ Top and Cat Power .
Other acts announced Friday (9/19) by Young and other organizers of the two-day benefit show--which takes place Oct. 25-26 in Mountain View, CA--include singer/songwriters Norah Jones and Jack Johnson , operatic pop singer Josh Groban, and alt-rock favorites Wilco and Death Cab for Cutie , who will both support Young on his headlining tour this fall.
Most of the performers—including Neil Young himself—will appear during both days of the benefit, with the exception of ZZ Top (10/25 only) and Smashing Pumpkins and Groban (10/26 only).
The details were released in a video posted at the Bridge School's website.
The concert, now in its 22nd year, aids children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs at the school Young and his wife, Pegi, helped found. Additional lineup and ticketing information is expected in the coming days and weeks.
