Tesla tours 'Forever More'
Veteran rockers Tesla will spend October traveling the US to support their forthcoming album, "Forever More."
The outing is set to kick off tomorrow (10/1) in Salt Lake City, UT, and make its way through the Midwest and across the Northeast through the end of the month. Details are listed below.
"Forever More," Tesla's seventh studio album, is due Oct. 7 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings. The band reunited with producer Terry Thomas, who was behind the boards for the rockers' 1994 gold-certified album, "Bust a Nut." The new record's lead single, "I Wanna Live," is getting airplay at active rock radio and the video is streaming at the band's website.
The members of Telsa completed their first world tour in 16 years last fall and released the DVD "Comin' Atcha Live! 2008" over the summer. The set, filmed at a concert in Minnesota, is the band's first DVD in 17 years and includes two hours of music as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
Despite their hectic schedule, the musicians managed to find time to write the new material on "Forever More."
"We started writing new songs for this album the first week of January, while simultaneously planning a Midwest tour of America in February and recording our 'Comin' Atcha Live! 2008 DVD' while we were on the road," guitarist Frank Hannon explained in a statement. "We're riding a wave of energy that doesn't come easy for a band of rookies much less a band who's been doing this for over 20 years--and we wouldn't have it any other way."
Last month, Tesla also released its first double-disc of best tracks and collectibles. "Gold" covers material from 1986 through 2007, including hit singles "Signs," "Love Song" and "The Way It Is."
