Rascal Flatts stretch 'Bob That Head' tour into 2009
Rascal Flatts have revealed plans to continue their current "Bob That Head" tour into 2009, with a fresh leg of the trek set to kick off early in January.
Consisting of approximately 25 dates, the outing will follow the country trio's current run, which continues Oct. 9 in Omaha, NE, and stretches through a Nov. 1-2 engagement in Uncasville, CT. Dates and cities for the 2009 shows will be announced later this fall, according to the group's website.
Singer/actress Jessica Simpson will open the 2009 shows, according to the site. Meanwhile, the group's current schedule is included below.
Rascal Flatts have been out all year supporting its platinum-selling release from last September, "Still Feels Good," which has spawned the hits "Take Me There" and "Winner at a Losing Game." The album's latest single, "Bob That Head," peaked at No. 16 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart after hitting radio stations in June.
The set, which follows 2006's "Me and My Gang," marks the group's third consecutive album to debut at No. 1.
Rascal Flatts have sold more than 17 million albums and scored nine No. 1 singles since forming in 1999, according to a press release. Earlier in the year, the trio took home its sixth consecutive Vocal Group of the Year award from the Academy of Country Music. During the May ceremony, the Academy of Country Music also honored the group with its Humanitarian Award.
