Aiden returns with more 'Conviction'

After a quiet summer, Seattle rockers Aiden are back on the road with their international "Suffer Little Children" tour.

The band, which will be in Europe all month, is set to kick off the US leg of the trek Nov. 11 in Fresno, CA, and has nearly 20 domestic dates on the books, stretching from the West Coast to the East Coast through Dec. 7. US shows are included below and those overseas can be found at the group's website.

Aiden, whose music has been described as "dark punk" and "horror rock," continues to support last year's "Conviction," which reached No. 54 on The Billboard 200. The album is said to expand the band's sound into "darker pastures" with the help of producer John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie, Soundgarden). Songs from the set are streaming at Aiden's MySpace page.

Last May, the hard-touring rockers pulled out of their US outing to take some personal time.

"We have been consistently on the road traveling for the past four years," the group explained at the time in a blog entry on its MySpace page. "In those four years, we have been in Seattle a total of maybe five months. ... It's enough to make anyone crazy, and bring almost any kind of personal relationship to the brink of disaster. So we all felt inclined to take a breather for the first time in what seems like forever."

At the same time, the band announced that guitarist Jake Wambold was no longer a part of Aiden and that the group would continue as a four piece.

"A new chapter has opened up for us and the fire you saw before will be replaced with a much higher level of intensity," the bandmates added.

In addition to touring, Aiden has started writing material for its next album. Also, vocalist Wil Francis will release the debut effort from his alter-ego, William Control, later this month.
