Luther Vandross [ tickets ] and Boyz II Men [ tickets ]--heartthrob stars who emerged a decade apart--have announced a month-long co-headlining tour of arenas and amphitheaters. The multi-platinum R&B acts open the tour on Aug. 22 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Tickets for some of the tour’s early stops are on sale now; many others will hit the market between Friday and Monday (7/22-24).

Boyz II Men released a new ballad titled "Pass You By" on June 9, and the group's first new album in three years, titled "Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya," will be in stores on Sept. 12, according to Universal Records. The group sold more than 60 million albums worldwide during the ‘90s, and was named Singing Group of the Decade by Billboard. More than 12 million copies of the group's 1994 album "II" have been sold in the U.S.

Singer, songwriter and producer Vandross hasn’t released a new album of original material since 1998’s “I Know,” his first for Virgin Records. He first broke into the mainstream charts with his top-10 hit “Here and Now” in 1989, but he has a long been a consistent presence on the R&B charts. He has a string of platinum albums dating back to his 1981 solo debut.

Boyz II Men and Luther Vandross were both among the acts that performed at the 20th anniversary concert for the BET cable network earlier this year in Las Vegas.
