Former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell [ tickets ] will brave the frigid weather of the Great White North during the second half of his North American fall tour.

Cornell, who launches the run Friday (10/17) in Denver, will hit about a dozen US clubs and theaters scattered throughout the West, capping things off on his home turf with a Nov. 2 stop in Seattle. After that, he'll tackle the newly minted Canadian trek, which fills out his November schedule.

As previously reported, the US outing features a mix of solo dates for Cornell, as well as joint performances with Timbaland, who produced Cornell's forthcoming album, "Scream." Details are included in the itinerary shown below.

Due in stores Nov. 4, "Scream" is Cornell's third solo LP, and follows last year's "Carry On" and 1999's "Euphoria Morning." The R&B flavored album represents a departure from his previous, rock-focused works, a change to which he has credited Timbaland.

"[Timbaland]'s a songwriter, so I was working with him in a collaboration, sort of as if we were in a band," Cornell said during a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest.

If Cornell's blog is any indication, fans who catch him on tour this fall will hear a mix of material culled from throughout his career, but should also expect a setlist heavy on material from "Scream."

"Already working on some songs that I haven't played in at least 10 years," he wrote late last week. "One song that I haven't played more than one time live in my life, and I have a short list that we will be able to get to over the next month of touring. I have to say, though, 'Scream' is what's up for me.
I have been rehearsing the whole album start to finish and it's insanely fun."

Three songs from the forthcoming album--the title cut, "Ground Zero" and "Watch Out"--are currently available for download from both Amazon.com and the iTunes store, and are also streaming at Cornell's website.
