Hard rockers Buckcherry [ tickets ] and Avenged Sevenfold have extended their co-headlining US trek into December.

Overwhelming response to the double-bill arena tour, which launched earlier this fall, prompted the bands to add another round of shows, according to a press release. The new leg kicks off Nov. 4 in Casper, WY, and makes its way to the East Coast through Dec. 2. Opening acts Shinedown and Saving Abel will also come along for the ride. Details are listed below.

Buckcherry is currently touring Japan to support its fourth studio album, "Black Butterfly," which surfaced last month and became the band's first set to debut in the Top 10 on The Billboard 200. The lead track, "Too Drunk," has been tearing up the mainstream- and modern-rock charts and is streaming at Buckcherry's MySpace page.

The band's previous effort, 2006's "15," spent 98 weeks on The Billboard 200, and recently was certified platinum by the RIAA, marking US shipment of 1 million copies.

Avenged Sevenfold continues to back its self-titled set, which surfaced last year and marked the band's fourth studio album and second major-label release. The disc debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, and has scored mainstream- and modern-rock hits with "Scream," "Afterlife" and "Almost Easy," the latter of which is featured in the new Rock Band 2 video game.

The rockers are also supporting their first live concert DVD, "Live in the LBC & Diamond in the Rough," which hit stores last month. The set, recorded at the Long Beach Arena in California, includes concert footage and previously unreleased material from the band's latest recording sessions.
