Los Lonely Boys bring 'Spirit' to the Southwest

"Texican" rockers Los Lonely Boys , who just dropped a new Christmas album, will continue touring around the US through late November.

The sibling trio resumed their in-progress outing last night (10/29) with the first gig of a six-show run through their home state of Texas. They'll finish off the trek with concerts in New Mexico, Arizona, California and Nevada. Los Lonely Boys also have a New Year's Eve gig booked in Ignacio, CO. Details are listed below.

Alejandro Escovedo and Raul Midon will take turns opening select dates. Further information is available at Los Lonely Boys' website.

Earlier this month, the Garza brothers--Henry (guitar), JoJo (bass) and Ringo (vocals)--released their fourth full-length album, "Christmas Spirit," which features 10 tracks, including "I've Longed for Christmas," "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," "Run Rudolph Run" and "Feliz Navidad."

Los Lonely Boys are also supporting their July release, "Forgiven," which reached No. 26 on The Billboard 200. The set was produced by Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Herbie Hancock), who brought the band back to basics, recording the members live on a soundstage to capture the spirit of their live show. Several songs on the set feature New Orleans icon Dr. John on keyboards. A few of the tunes, including lead single "Staying With Me," are streaming at Los Lonely Boys' MySpace page.

"Forgiven" follows 2006's "Sacred," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, and LLB's double-platinum-selling, Grammy-winning 2003 self-titled debut, which spawned the No. 1 adult-contemporary hit "Heaven."

While they were touring through Florida last week, the Boys stopped by Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg to sing the national anthem prior to Game 2 of the World Series. Their performance brought the crowd to its feet halfway through the song.

"To be able to sing at this level is legendary," JoJo Garza told MLB.com. "We feel really honored, really."
