Janet Jackson nixes makeup dates

Janet Jackson will not reschedule the missed dates on her recently wrapped "Rock Wichu" tour after all.

The seven shows that were originally postponed due to illness have been scrapped because of conflicts in the superstar's schedule, according to a posting at Jackson's fan-club website. Those cities left in the lurch are Montreal; Boston; Philadelphia; Greensboro, NC; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Uncasville, CT; and Syracuse, NY.

Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster's phone or Internet service, or through the Janet Fan Club, will be automatically refunded, according to Jackson's fan club. Those purchased at the box office or a Ticketmaster Ticket Center will be refunded at the point of purchase. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)

The only postponed date that Jackson made up was her New York City engagement at Madison Square Garden. She wrapped her tour with that Nov. 1 performance.

The two-week slate of cancellations started Sept. 29 when the pop star became "suddenly ill" and was taken to the hospital shortly before her Montreal gig. After several more shows were canceled at the last minute, Jackson's manager announced the performer was being treated for vestibular migraine, which causes vertigo.

"She's a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect," manager Kenneth Crear said in a statement released at the time.

The "Rock Wichu" tour took another hit late last month when support act LL Cool J dropped off, citing scheduling conflicts.

The outing, which launched Sept. 10, was Jackson's first in seven years. The 42-year-old performer has been supporting her 10th studio effort, "Discipline," which topped The Billboard 200 in March.
