Hole / Marilyn Manson Tour Dates Begin To Emerge

The winter/spring tour itinerary for Hole and Marilyn Manson 's co-bill tour is beginning to take shape with four initial dates announced Tuesday (1/26) via Manson's official web site. The four West Coast dates -- Spokane, WA (2/28); Vancouver, BC (3/2); Seattle, WA (3/3) and Portland, OR (3/6) -- are scheduled to go on sale this weekend, according to the site. Complete weekend on sale information will appear Friday morning in Live Daily Weekend.

Manson and Hole have garnered the majority of the press on their current trek through Australia on the Big Day Out tour, with Australian journalists noting Manson's rage and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love's comparative grace on stage. The Age reports that Manson threatened to walk off stage in mid-set on Tuesday after being pelted with water bottles by an agitated crowd.

Korn and Sean Lennon are also on the tour amidst a number of Australian acts. The Big Day Out tour wraps up January 31st.

The US tour begins days after the Grammy Awards (2/24), allowing both artists the opportunity to attend. Manson is nominated in the Best Hard Rock Performance category for The Dope Show. Hole is nominated in the Best Rock Album category for Celebrity Skin, and in the Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal categories for the title track from the album.

Producer Michael Beinhorn, who worked on both Celebrity Skin and Manson's Mechanical Animals, is nominated in the Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical category for his work on both albums.

The day before the Grammys, a ceremony will be held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles to award the Gibson Guitar Awards for 1999. Hole's Courtney Love is nominated for the Best Rock Guitarist (Female) award and Melissa Auf Der Maur is nominated in the Best Bassist (Female) category.

The Hole / Manson tour is expected to run for at least six weeks.
