O.A.R. maps another round of headlining shows
Alt-rockers O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) are staying busy as 2008 draws to a close, with a fresh slate of radio shows and a new leg of the band's headlining trek set for early next year.
The group is currently finishing up a fall stretch on college campuses behind its most recent album, "All Sides," with the tour continuing tonight (11/14) in Newark, DE. Following the November shows, the group will launch a series of December appearances at radio-sponsored holiday concerts, followed by the next leg of dates behind "All Sides," kicking off Jan. 15 in Spokane, WA. Details are listed below.
"All Sides," which hit stores July 15 and follows 2005's "Stories of a Stranger, is the sixth studio album for O.A.R., which continues to nurture its label as a "college band" with a reputation for peppering its tour schedules with universities.
"Where better to express yourself?" lead singer Marc Roberge asked LiveDaily earlier this year. "Where better to speak your mind and say what the hell you want to say on stage than on a college campus? I think that's what the whole point of a university is--to be able to find yourself and speak your mind, be who you are and find out who you are.
"We're still finding out who we are--but we just get to do it around people in the university system, which is nice," he added.
