Michael Bolton swings back to the US
Michael Bolton , who's been in Europe since late September, will kick off a handful of US dates next month.
The blue-eyed soul singer wrapped up his European jaunt over the weekend, and he'll next head to Grand Cayman for a Dec. 5 performance at the Cayman Music Festival. Bolton will return to the US trail beginning Dec. 7 in Indianapolis and play a half dozen shows along the East Coast through the end of January, then head out West for an early-February two-night stand in Las Vegas. Stateside shows are included below and the singer's overseas itinerary can be found at his website.
During the holiday season, fans will likely get a chance to hear selections from Bolton's latest release, "A Swingin' Christmas." The set was re-released last year with two new tracks after first surfacing as a Target exclusive in 2006. It features Bolton and a big-band orchestra performing a host of yuletide hits, including "Silent Night," "Walkin' In a Winter Wonderland" and "Let It Snow."
The two-time Grammy winner also recorded with a big band for 2006's "Bolton Swings Sinatra," which features Frank Sinatra classics including "New York, New York," "Night and Day," "My Funny Valentine" and "Fly Me to the Moon." The track "The Second Time Around" is a duet with Bolton's fiancee, "Desperate Housewives" actress Nicolette Sheridan.
During his career, Bolton has sold more than 53 million records and found himself on the pop, R&B and classical charts. He has sung with Luciano Pavarotti and Ray Charles, written songs with Bob Dylan and traded guitar licks with B.B. King, according to his bio. The award-winning songwriter has also found his share of success writing for an array of other artists--everyone from Barbra Streisand to KISS.
