Theory of a Deadman readies headline jaunt

Alt-rockers Theory of a Deadman [ tickets ] will close out 2008 with a headlining trek before hooking up with Motley Crue's "Saints of Los Angeles 2009 Winter Tour."

The Vancouver trio is set to start Nov. 25 in Poughkeepsie, NY, and traipse through US clubs and theaters from the East Coast to the Midwest through mid-December. Nashville-based modern rockers Framing Hanley will hold down the opening slot.

Theory of a Deadman will then kick off the New Year on the 28-city Motley Crue tour, which launches Feb. 2 in San Diego and also features Hinder and The Last Vegas.

"We are so pumped to be a part of what I think will be the biggest and most bad-ass tour of 2009," Theory of a Deadman frontman Tyler Connolly said in a press release. "Three kick-ass bands on one bill, not to mention how honored we are to play with one of the best rock 'n' roll bands of all f---in time, Motley f---in Crue."

The rock trio is supporting its third album, "Scars & Souvenirs," which surfaced in April and landed at No. 26 on The Billboard 200. So far, the set has spawned the mainstream- and modern-rock hits "Bad Girlfriend" and "So Happy," which are streaming at Theory of a Deadman's MySpace page.
