Kings of Leon take aim at 2009
Kings of Leon , who will cap their 2008 US tour on their home turf in Nashville tonight (11/18), have mapped a new batch of American dates for early next year.
So far, the group's 2009 schedule comprises a half-dozen late-September shows, including a previously announced Jan. 29 performance at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Details are included below.
In the meantime, the Southern alt-rockers will spend the rest of 2008 on a European tour that kicks off early next month. Dates for that outing, as well as subsequent 2009 jaunts through Europe and Australia, are posted at the band's website.
Kings of Leon have been working the road behind their latest album, "Only the Night," which surfaced in September and made its debut at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart. The set, which is the group's fourth full-length, features the hit single "Sex on Fire" and follow-up cut "Use Somebody." Videos for both songs are streaming at the group's website.
