Official word of Lil Wayne [ tickets ]'s winter tour has come down the pike, along with an expanded itinerary comprising nearly 25 dates in North America.

The hip-hop star is scheduled to play a Dec. 6 makeup gig in Rochester, NY, before launching the "I Am Music Tour" Dec. 14 in Miami. The coast-to-coast outing, which stretches through Jan. 19, includes a two-night stand in Universal City, CA, and stops in Montreal and Toronto. Acts expected to join Lil Wayne on the road are T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes and Keri Hilson. An updated itinerary is listed below.

Wayne is supporting his double-platinum June release, "Tha Carter III," which easily topped The Billboard 200 and became Universal Motown's biggest first-week seller ever with more than 1 million copies moved, according to a press release. The set has spawned several hits, including No. 1 R&B/hip-hop and rap singles "A Milli" and "Lollipop," as well as the current single, "Mrs. Officer."

"I made Tha Carter III so that whatever song is on, it will stick with you forever," Lil Wayne, born DeWayne Michael Carter Jr., said in his bio. "That's why I took my time with it. I wanted it to be a classic."

The third and final release in the so-called "Tha Carter" trilogy, the album boasts guest contributors and individual track producers including Kanye West, Babyface, The Alchemist, Cool & Dre, T-Pain and others. Song from the set are streaming at Wayne's MySpace page.

During his 13-year career, Lil Wayne has recorded more than 1,000 songs and freestyles, and sold upwards of 6 million albums, according to his bio. The New Orleans-born lyricist recently won seven BET Hip-Hop Awards and the Artists Choice honor at the MTV Europe Music Awards. He's currently up for several trophies at next month's inaugural Music Choice Video on Demand Awards.
