Indie-rockers Tokyo Police Club [ tickets ] will embark on a US headlining jaunt beginning in February to support their debut long-player, this year's "Elephant Shell."

The Canadian group, fresh off a gig opening for Weezer's North American tour, kicks off its own headlining slate Feb. 24 in Providence, RI. The outing covers 18 cities and almost one month before winding down March 19 in Pontiac, MI.

The band will also set out on a six-city run of Canadian shows later this month, starting with a Dec. 12 date in Toronto. Details on all the group's upcoming appearances are included below.

"Elephant Shell," which hit stores in April, follows a pair of earlier EPs, the band's 2006 debut "A Lesson in Crime" and last year's "Smith." Three songs from the new album--"In a Cave," "Juno" and "Tessellate"--are currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.

According to a press release, Tokyo Police Club will head back into the studio following the forthcoming tour to begin work on the band's sophomore full-length album.
