The Who, Jimmy Page, Black Crowes To Co-Bill In New York

The Who will co-headline shows with Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes at New Yorks Madison Square Garden on Oct. 3 and 4. The Who has been sharing a production crew with the Page-Crowes tour since each band hit the road in late June, but the acts have yet to share the stage.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Aug. 7. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the shows will start at 7:30 p.m. Ticket holders will not be allowed into the venue after 7:30 because "these special concerts are conceived by both acts as a complete musical experience from beginning to end," according to the tours publicist.

An onstage collaboration between all of the acts is in the "talking stages," according to the tour announcement.

The Who tour and the Page-Crowes tour generally are routed in tandem: The Who performs either the night before or after the Page-Crowes tour at the same venue. Though tickets to each tour can be purchased separately, a $15 discount is offered for those who purchase lawn tickets to both shows.
