Rockers The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus [ tickets ] have a busy winter planned in the run-up to their sophomore Virgin Records release, "Lonely Road."

The Florida-based group is currently closing out 2008 with a handful of radio-sponsored holiday shows, and will kick off a US headlining jaunt Jan. 9 in Tallahassee, FL. The tour, listed below, currently comprises 18 club/theater gigs stretching from the Midwest to the East Coast through early February. Tours of Australia and Southeast Asia will follow, according to a press release.

The band, known for mixing alt-rock with touches of screamo, pop-punk and metal, has set a Feb. 3 drop date for "Lonely Road," which was recorded at the Los Angeles-area studio of producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry). The album's lead single, "You Better Pray," is already a hit at modern-rock radio and is streaming at The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' MySpace page.

The forthcoming record follows RJA's 2006 platinum-selling debut, "Don't You Fake it," which reached No. 25 on The Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for 62 weeks. That set spawned the rock/pop crossover hit "Face Down," a plea against domestic violence that provided a proper introduction to a band that is committed to bringing attention to social issues. RJA has been actively raising funds and awareness for causes including teen-suicide prevention, mental-health parity and domestic violence.

"We've honestly always felt blessed, and the best way to give back is to ... give back!" frontman Ronnie Winter explained in a statement. "Don't talk about it. Just do it. So our motto of, 'Doing good for no good reason' will always apply to this specific band, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus."
