Reggae-influenced punks Slightly Stoopid [ tickets ] have mapped a winter headlining trek in support of their latest release, a collection of rarities and outtakes issued in June.

The Californians are set to launch the outing Feb. 5 in Tucson, AZ. Accompanying the band and offering opening support during the 13-city jaunt will be reggae veterans Inner Circle, best known for the 1989 song "Bad Boys," familiar to most as the theme song to the long-running Fox Network reality show "Cops." Dates are below.

"Slightly Not Stoned Enough To Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid," the group's ninth release, all for the Skunk Records label, contains seven new songs, "as well as other outtakes, rarities, and brand new studio joints," according to the band's website.

"It's a mixture of everything," guitarist Miles Doughty said in a July interview with LiveDaily. "It has some previously recorded tracks that we did from our last couple studio sessions and some new jams that we recorded down in Miami. It's like the staple of Slightly Stoopid: it has a little bit of every style of music that we do from the reggae, to the hip-hop, the blues music, punk rock, metal. It's like every sound of Stoopid in one."

The album was produced in part by Paul Leary of the Butthole Surfers. "He's awesome," Doughty said. "He's a killer guitar player and a really good vibe to be around. He's always smiling and just getting into everything you're doing while you're recording. It's just cool to be around him. He's incredible. Just a really good guy. He's got a good mind for music."
