The Charlie Daniels [ tickets ] Band has issued a steady stream of live dates, taking the veteran country rocker and his group into summer of 2009.

The band will take a long break following tomorrow night's (12/19) appearance in Riverside, IA, before settling into its next stretch of touring action. The spring outing kicks off March 6 in Austin, TX, and runs through late June. Details are included below.

Daniels continues to support last year's "Deuces," which features duets of his own hits as well as country, pop and R&B classics with stars including Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt, Vince Gill and Dolly Parton.

The veteran performer recently renewed his catalog deal with KOCH Records and will release two new studio albums under an existing agreement, according to a press release.

Last November, Daniels, celebrating 50 years in the music business, was invited by country singer Martina McBride to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He was inducted into the Opry in January by Marty Stuart and Connie Smith.

The singer has scored hits on rock, country, pop and Christian charts, and his signature song, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," earned him a Grammy in 1979. He also has a Dove award on his mantle alongside an Academy of Country Music Pioneer Award.
