Lucinda Williams maps early 2009 outing

Alt-country singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams will hit the road early on in 2009 as she looks to build support behind her recent studio release, "Little Honey."

Williams kicks off the outing Feb. 19 in Dallas, with dates currently lined up in 11 cities through mid-March. Following the trek, Williams will jet to the other side of the globe for an Australian tour in April.

The singer's US dates are shown below; overseas shows can be found at her website.

Williams' new album, "Little Honey," hit stores in October. The 13-track set features guest appearances by Elvis Costello, Matthew Sweet, Susanna Hoffs and bluegrass singers Jim Lauderdale and Charlie Louvin, among others, and includes William's take on AC/DC's "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)."

"I think there's this sense that I'm having a good time," she said of the new record on NPR's "All Things Considered" last month. "The band's having a good time."

The set follows last year's "West," which reached No. 14 on The Billboard 200 and scored two Grammy nominations for the single "Come On."
