Lamb of God to unleash 'Wrath' on spring trek
Lamb of God will team up with No Fear Energy Drink during its upcoming spring tour, which the heavy-metal band will use to promote its forthcoming album, "Wrath."
After jumping off April 2 in Phoenix as part of a West Coast leg, the tour takes a distinct northward tilt with an eight-city Canadian leg before heading back to the US for the remainder of the 35-date trek.
As I Lay Dying and Children of Bodom will provide main support for the outing, with the opening slot rotating between God Forbid and Municipal Waste. Details are included below.
"I cannot wait to begin the first North American run of the 'Wrath' world tour," drummer Chris Adler said in a press statement. "The package we have lined up is guaranteed to leave sore necks and broken eardrums across the country. If you are into metal, there is something here for everyone, this is not a tour to miss. We are working up one hell of a show and can't wait to play the new material."
"Wrath," due in stores Feb. 24, is the Virginia-based band's fifth studio effort in a recording career that dates back to 2000's "New American Gospel."
"This album is going to surprise a lot of people," Adler told Blabbermouth.net in November. "Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. 'Wrath' needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on Feb. 24 you will feel it."
