Cold War Kids reward fans' 'Loyalty' with spring US tour

Indie-rockers Cold War Kids mount up an opposite-coasts headlining trip in March, with the band supporting "Loyalty to Loyalty," it's second full-length effort.

Before the California natives embark on the spring trek, they'll make a March 7 appearance at the Langerado festival in Miami. The headlining outing kicks off March 26 in San Diego and ends a little over a month and 10 shows later in San Francisco, by way of New York and Boston, among other destinations. Dates are below.

On the road, the band is supporting its sophomore album, "Loyalty to Loyalty." The set was released in September, peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawning the single "Something Is Not Right With Me," which hit No. 39 on Billboard's singles chart.

"This record is much more beefed up," bassist Matt Maust told LiveDaily last month, comparing the album to the band's 2006 debut, "Robbers and Cowards."

"It's heavier, deeper," he added. "It's a lot more relevant, more today. A lot of people say the last record was more about yesteryear--folk stories and myths with made-up characters. This new record has some of that, but it's much more today."
