Bloc Party lines up US, Canadian dates for spring

Indie-rockers Bloc Party will launch a North American tour this spring as they continue to support their latest studio release, last fall's "Intimacy."

Following its current European trek, the British group will undertake the US and Canadian outing, kicking off March 13 and 14 in Toronto. After a pair of London shows in early April, the band will kick off the second part of its Canadian trek April 26 in Vancouver.

North American dates are shown below. The band's European schedule is viewable at its website.

On the road, the band is supporting its third studio album, last year's "Intimacy." Producers Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M.) and Paul Epworth (The Futureheads, Babyshambles) worked on the new set, which peaked at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 in early November.

The album's third single, "One Month Off," is scheduled to hit radio stations next week. The group's previous single, "Talons," was originally a bonus track on the CD version of the album.
