Album Chart: Taylor Swift's "Fearless" still in control
America's love affair with Taylor Swift continues unabated, with the country singer's latest album, "Fearless," outselling all other records in the US for the seventh week.
With sales of about 63,000 copies, Swift will stay put at No. 1 on the forthcoming Billboard 200 chart, easily outstripping the competition. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.)
Beyonce's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" trails at a distant second with sales of 49,000 copies, according to Billboard, while Nickelback's "Dark Horse" clocked sales of 46,000 copies.
"Notorious," the soundtrack to the recently released Notorius B.I.G. biopic, debuts at No. 4 with first-week sales of 43,000 copies, while Kanye West's "808s and Heartbreak" dips from No. 3 to No. 5 on sales of 40,000 copies.
Rounding out the Top 10 are the "Twilight" soundtrack at No. 6 with 36,000 copies sold; Britney Spears' "Circus" at No. 7 with 34,000 copies; Jamie Foxx's "Intuition" at No. 8 with only slightly less than Spears' total; Keyshia Cole's "A Different Me" at No. 9 with 31,000 copies; and "American Idol" victor David Cook's self-titled debut at No. 10 with just shy of Cole's total.
