No Doubt tour plans come together
The dates have yet to be announced, but details surrounding No Doubt 's reunion tour are starting to roll in.
The ska-rockers will launch the outing in May and play amphitheaters and arenas in the US and Canada throughout the summer, according to a press release. The only show confirmed so far is a May 3 headlining performance at the Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ.
Pop-punk quintet Paramore has landed the main support slot and The Sounds, Janelle Monae, and Bedouin Soundclash will take turns opening the shows.
"Now that five years have passed, the excitement level for us is extremely high," No Doubt drummer Adrian Young said in a statement. "We are so fresh and ready! I feel like a kid again when rehearsing these songs."
In addition to performing its catalog of hits, No Doubt may have some new material to preview on the road. The Grammy-winning band has recently spent time in the studio, working on the follow up to 2001's "Rock Steady," according to various reports.
"The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music," frontwoman Gwen Stefani said in a statement. "It feels good to be all together again."
Tour dates and on-sale information will be announced shortly, according to a press release. The outing will mark the first time the members of No Doubt have hit the road together since 2004, when they co-headlined a trek with Blink 182.
