Singer/songwriter Neko Case [ tickets ] has lined up a spring run of headlining dates to support her forthcoming solo album, "Middle Cyclone."

Case, who splits time between her careers as a solo artist and as a member of The New Pornographers, will get the trek underway March 31 in Austin, TX. The outing will pass through 18 cities over the following month, including a trio of two-night engagements in Washington, DC (4/8-9); New York City (4/13-14); and Toronto (4/17-18). The complete itinerary is included below.

"Middle Cyclone," Case's first release since 2006's "Fox Confessor Brings The Flood," features the singer and her band joined by a number of guests, including M. Ward, Garth Hudson and Sarah Harmer, as well as members of The New Pornographers, Los Lobos, Calexico and Giant Sand, among others. The album, co-produced by Case with New Pornographers studio engineer Darryl Neudorf, is due in stores March 3.

Case's new single, "People Got A Lotta Nerve," is currently available as a free download from Case's Anti- Records artist site.

The record label plans to make a donation to the Best Friends Animal Society for every blogger that posts the song and every iLike user who adds it to his or her profile, according to a press release. The free download will be available through Feb. 4.
