Bruce Springsteen, Phish lead initial Bonnaroo lineup

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and a reunited Phish top the list of names revealed by organizers for this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festiva

Other acts announced for the four-day outdoor campout/music festival, which is set for June 11-14 at the same 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN (60 miles southeast of Nashville) where it has been hosted since its inception in 2002, include Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, David Byrne, Al Green, Elvis Costello, Erykah Badu, Paul Oakenfold, Ben Harper and Relentless7, The Mars Volta, TV on the Radio, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and many others. A list of confirmed performers is included below.

With more acts being added in coming weeks, according to a press release, the festival's planners expect the complete lineup total more than 120 bands--along with 20 comedians--performing on 13 different stages.

The event will mark Phish's only festival appearance in 2009, according to a press release. The band, which revealed reunion tour plans last month, will play two shows at the event: a full two-set performance as well as an additional late-evening set.

As in past years, the festival grounds will once again function as a 24-hour city, with amenities "including a comedy theater, cinema festival, jazz club, silent disco, arcade, Internet cafes, restaurants, yoga classes and hundreds of high quality craft vendors," according to organizers.

For the first time this year, the festival will offer attendees the option of paying for tickets in five $50 installments, plus applicable service fees. Fans will also have the option of purchasing a "Green Ticket," which includes a portion of the fee set aside to support green solutions and the development of sustainable improvements at the festival in subsequent years.

Tickets for the event will once again only be available through the festival's website. General admission tickets go on sale Feb. 7, with a three-tiered payment plan in effect. Tickets will be made available in each price range as supplies last. Camping is included in the price of admission, but RVs will incur an additional surcharge. See the event's website for complete ticketing details.
