As viewers of last night's Grammy Awards ceremony already know, California pop-punk trio Blink-182 [ tickets ] have reconvened, ending an "indefinite hiatus" that began four years ago.

"To put it simply, we're back," the group said in a press release that surfaced this morning (2/9). "We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy."

Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker appeared on stage together at last night's Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

"We played music together and we decided we're going to play music together again," Barker--who survived a fiery plane crash last year--told the audience.

In February of 2005, Hoppus, DeLonge and Barker announced that the group was going on an "indefinite hiatus." Delonge went on to form the group Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker formed +44. The two factions subsequently took shots at each other in the press.

Last fall, in the wake of the plane crash that left Barker severely injured and two former Blink-182 associates dead, Hoppus announced on his blog that he, Barker and DeLonge had mended fences, but was unsure at the time if a full-blown reunion would transpire.

"Right now, it's just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past," he wrote at the time. "Life is too short."

The reunited trio has not yet announced a released date for the new album, nor unveiled a tour schedule.
