Alt-rockers 311 [ tickets ] have lined up a slate of spring headlining dates as the band mulls a release date for its recently completed new studio album, "Uplifter."

The group, which is also looking down the road to another edition of its periodic summer Unity Tour, kicks off the spring outing April 15 in Tucson, AZ. The 16-city trek runs through mid-spring, concluding May 15 in Springfield, MO. Dates are below.

The band worked with veteran hard-rock producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue) on "Uplifter," its ninth studio album. The set, the group's first album since 2005's "Don't Tread on Me," is due in stores later this spring.

"He just brings out the best in 311," lead singer/guitarist Nick Hexum said about working with Rock in an interview with LiveDaily last year. "He doesn't try and put a signature sound on anything he does. He just tries to really accentuate the strengths of the band.

"I think he definitely did that with [Metallica's] 'Black' album and a lot of just good, live rock-oriented music. So we're pretty excited about that ...."
