LONDON-- Oasis [ tickets ] is to play an unexpected show at Denmark's Skanderborg Festival on August 12. The announcement follows their decision to cancel their performance at the country's Roskilde Festival on July 1 after a crowd crush resulted in the death of nine concertgoers during Pearl Jam's set on June 30.

An Oasis spokesperson said, "The band are very pleased to accept the last minute offer of the show as it gives them the chance to perform for their Danish fans."

In other Oasis tour news, a 17-year-old fan was hospitalized this weekend after he was reportedly attacked by a group of about 15 men and women singing English soccer songs prior to the group's show in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Saturday (7/29). The teenager is said to be in stable but serious condition.

Oasis' world tour, which started in Japan last February, has now taken in 20 countries. It has been struck by a run of bad luck after Noel Gallagher walked out on the group during their French shows in mid-May.

Besides pulling out of the Roskilde Festival, the band also walked off stage last Wednesday (7/26) at Switzerland's Paleo Festival, claiming that the audience would not stop throwing bottles at them. Angered by the group's walk-off, Paleo Festival organizers issued a statement in which they blamed the incident on Liam Gallagher's "arrogant and provocative attitude." In turn, Oasis has said that they are to take legal action against Paleo promoters for their remarks.
