TV on the Radio pack 'Science' for spring tour

Flush with positive attention garnered by their latest studio release, alt-rockers TV on the Radio will head back out on the road in May for another round of headlining shows.

The New Yorkers start off the trek May 12 in Louisville, KY, kicking off with a slate of shows in the South before heading north to the Pacific Northwest and into Canada. The trek winds to a close June 8 in Washington, DC. Before the headlining outing gets underway, the band will make an April 18 appearance at Indio, CA's Coachella Festival. Details are below.

On the road, the band continues to support its third studio album, last year's "Dear Science." Released in September, the set was met with overwhelming critical acclaim, reaching the top spot on many year-end critics polls, including those at Rolling Stone, Spin Magazine and MTV, along with LiveDaily's own tabulations.

The album--which was produced by the band's own Dave Sitek, who has handled production on all of the group's releases--follows 2006's "Return to Cookie Mountain," TV on the Radio's first release on the Interscope label after moving over from the Chicago indie label Touch and Go.

Several cuts from the new set are streaming at the band's website.
