Album Chart: Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' still dominant
Country singer Taylor Swift 's "Fearless" notches its 10th non-consecutive week in the top slot on the US album chart after moving 62,000 copies during its most recent week in stores.
By laying claim to the top of The Billboard 200 chart yet again, "Fearless" maintains its run as the album with the most weeks spent at No. 1 since Santana's "Supernatural" spent 12 weeks in that position during 1999 and 2000, according to Billboard. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan data.)
Making a run at "Fearless" is Charlie Wilson 's "Uncle Charlie," which trails with 58,000 copies sold during its first week out, enough to earn the album a No. 2 debut. The Fray 's self-titled set--which debuted at No. 1 two weeks back, then dipped to No. 4--gains ground with sales of 53,000, placing it in the No. 3 slot.
Meanwhile, Nickelback 's "Dark Horse" and Beyonce 's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" both jump seven places, up from Nos. 11 and 12 to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Jamie Foxx 's "Intuition" at No. 6 with 33,000 copies sold; India.Arie 's "Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics" at No. 7 with 32,000 copies; Kanye West 's "808s & Heartbreak" at No. 8 with 32,000; Robert Plant & Alison Krauss 's "Raising Sand" at No. 9 with just a handful less that the No. 8 entry; and Lady Gaga 's "The Frame," which gains some major ground by jumping from No. 26 to No. 10 on a sales total slightly lower than that logged by "Raising Sand."
