Blue October extends 'Normal' spring jaunt

Modern-rock quintet Blue October has added more dates to its previously announced spring tour as the group gears up for this month's release of its new studio album.

The two-month outing kicks off March 16 in San Francisco, continuing along the West Coast and through the southern states to the East Coast and Midwest. The final stop is currently slated for May 17 in St. Clemens, MI. Details are listed below.

The Austin-based rockers recently finished up a weeklong European run following their showcase at the MIDEM music conference in Cannes, France, and are awaiting the March 24 release of their fifth album, "Approaching Normal."

Together since 1999, Blue October maintained a strong under-the-radar following until the single "Hate Me" from 2006's "Foiled" created a buzz. That song, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, broke the band into mainstream radio markets, ultimately expanding their fan and tour base.
